As an international financial services company, it offers a wide range of leasing and credit products. Porsche Versicherungs-AG specializes in insurance solutions for all aspects of motor vehicles. In addition to motor vehicle liability insurance, it also offers comprehensive and passenger accident insurance as well as other insurance products.

We were able to achieve this:

  • Implementation of the company-specific learning and training platform “Porsche Intermediary Academy”.

  • Preparation of annual training plans for the management of the car dealerships and the employees at the head office.

  • Implementation of live streaming and face-to-face seminars, production of e-learning courses in cooperation with a certified adult education institute.

  • Generation of participation certificates and storage in a personal frontend for the participants.

  • Backend for the HR department of Porsche Bank und Versicherungs-AG for ongoing documentation.

Further details on the project

Initial situation

The initial situation was that e-learning courses were to be held using Moodle™ during the Covid-19-related quarantine. Prior to this, seminars had mainly been held in face-to-face form. After the end of the quarantine measures, a hybrid learning mode was to be continued. Face-to-face seminars, live streaming and e-learning were to be managed and documented on a single platform. Participants should be able to access a personal front end. HR management should be able to generate reports and training certificates for individual participants and for defined groups.

Approach

  • The existing Moodle™ instance was converted to a new LTS version, in this case 4.1.

  • A course-free time slot was used to roll out the Porsche Intermediary Academy’s quick&proper training platform and connect it to Moodle™ using q&p™ Connector.

  • In cooperation with a certified adult education institute, annual training plans are drawn up on an ongoing basis, face-to-face seminars are held and live streaming events are organized.

  • Participants have an overview of completed training courses in their personal front end and can also view or download their certificates

  • A support bot has been set up to deal with participants’ technical concerns on an ongoing basis.

Results of the project

  • Quick start of hybrid training operations: With the help of the q&p™ Connector, it was possible to connect to Moodle™ quickly, even during the year.

  • Cost-effective flat rate: The costs for the provision of quick&proper are on a par with the previous costs for the Moodle™ platform only.

  • Automated management of training courses and certificates: The manual sending of certificates has been replaced by automated processes. Participants are informed by e-mail as soon as they are invited to training courses or certificates are ready for retrieval.
